1) Alternative spellings of ‘ease, easing’, for eaves, but used by Henry Best of Elmswell for the thatching on a stack and a protective roof or covering for a wall made of mud.

1642 to the Eize of a stack and the Eizes. Of the wall he wrote: It was eized with stubble and haver-strawe mixed togeather, and it took the workman two whole dayes afore hee gotte it Eized and the Eize cutte. He used an Eize-knife for cuttinge the Eize.
