1732 Pd Hurriers Extraordinary Ł1 1s 6d, Horsforth. In 1653, a Baildon collier summarised his working experience: a banksman for a dozen years, a miner for five years before and a hurrier for seven years, that is to say he started out as a hurrier and rose through the ranks.
